Particularly, the Committee considered the draft law to amend several legislative acts of Ukraine on the issue of national safety (Reg. No. 11350) that aims at bringing legislative acts in line with the new version of Military Doctrine of Ukraine.
By the subject of legal regulation the bill pertains to the sphere of safety policy and is regulated in the European Union by the Treaty on Functioning of the European Union, the European Parliament resolution on the implementation of the European Security Strategy and the Common Security and Defence Policy, the Charter of the United Nations and the Statute of the International Court of Justice.
The Committee concluded that the bill does not contradict the law of the European Union and international and legal obligations of Ukraine.
The Committee considered also the draft law on metrology and metrological activity (Reg. No. 11369).
The Committee noted that by the subject of legal regulation the bill pertains to the sphere of technical rules and standards, legal relations of which are governed by the following directives of the European Parliament and the Council: 2004/22/EC on measuring instruments; 98/34/EC of the laying down a procedure for the provision of information in the field of technical standards; 2011/17/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 March 2011 repealing Council Directives 71/317/EEC, 71/347/EEC, 71/349/EEC, 74/148/EEC, 75/33/EEC, 76/765/EEC, 76/766/EEC and 86/217/EEC regarding metrology, as well as by the WTO Technical Barriers to Trade Agreement (adopted by the Council Decision N 94/800/EC of December 22, 1994).
The Committee concluded that the bill does not contradict the law of the European Union and international and legal obligations of Ukraine within WTO.
